Rowena Harris (they/them) b. Norfolk 1985, is an artist, researcher and educator based between London and Birmingham, UK. Research led and underpinned by a writerly practice that often emerges through moving-image, they explore bio-cultural, socio-medical and eco-crip dynamics. Informed by crip theory and knowledge from their own health experiences, they are invested in how crip, disability together with queer and feminist knowledges can inform methods, rhythms, and sensibilities for making work. Through their work they aim to unsettle ableist assumptions about bodies, brains and minds and frameworks for understanding the world.

They are in the final stages of their CHASE (AHRC) funded, practice-based PhD at Goldsmiths College, they hold an MFA also from Goldsmiths (2010), a BA Fine Art from Falmouth University (2008).
